100 Years and $100 Million in Assets

In 2015, the bank attained two milestones in its history. Incorporating in March 1915, the bank celebrated its 100 year anniversary. Throughout the year, customer events and loan specials were created to involve the community in the celebration. The last special for mortgage loans will end in March to bring our year of celebration to a close. Stop in or call to get details as this will end soon.

Attaining $100 million in assets shows the growth the bank enjoyed. Led by deposit growth of over 6%, coupled with low loan losses, the bank continued its unbroken chain over 25 years of positive earnings.

Also in 2015, after 24 years of service, Director R. Scott Wertz announced his intention to not run for re-election. Directors appointed Jeffrey Buren to replace the seat that Scott will vacate at the annual meeting. Jeff's knowledge of the area and past experience with banking gives him a good understanding of his new role as bank director.

As more bank consolidations are being announced, there will soon be fewer truly independent community banks. We appreciate the support of our shareholders and customers over the last 100 years and look forward to many more to come!
